Simon Murdoch has previously been Chief Executive of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (2002-2009); New Zealand High Commissioner to Australia (1999-2002); and Chief Executive of the New Zealand Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (1991-98).
