It reflects risks, and our assessment of what these might mean for New Zealanders. Our assessment may also take account of the actions local authorities are taking to minimise the risk, and our ability to provide you with assistance.

Libya - Areas bordering Chad, Niger and Sudan.
Malaysia - coastal areas and offshore Islands and dive sites remote from the main towns of eastern Sabah (from Kudat in the North and around the coast to Tawau).
Nigeria - Piracy and armed robbery against ships in Nigerian waters, rivers and harbours.
Sudan - Except for Eastern and Southern Sudan and Chadian border with Darfur.
Sri Lanka - Except Northern and Eastern areas.
Thailand - Southern provinces of Narathiwat, Songkhla, Yala and Pattani .
Tunisia - Areas bordering Algeria.
Turkey - Areas close to the Iraq border.
Zambia - Borders with Democratic Republic of Congo.
Yemen - except Governorates of Sa'dah, Ma'rib, Hadramaut (all extreme risk)
