Passport and notarial services are available by appointment only at:

Kindly schedule an appointment at least 5 working days in advance and await confirmation of the appointment from us. To make an appointment, all visitors, please submit the Booking Request Form and any relevant document(s) to bkkappointments@mfat.govt.nz
Due to increased security at M Thai Tower, you must bring your passport or a suitable government issued photographic identification to gain access to the Embassy.
Notarial Services
The New Zealand Embassy in Bangkok can provide some notarial services under New Zealand law when the documents are either New Zealand in origin or for use in – or requested by – New Zealand organisations. Our services include, but are not limited to, witnessing signatures, certifying true copies of original documents, and statutory declarations.
Notarial Service Fees (Effective from August 2024)
- THB 900 for certifying a document as being a true copy of an original
- THB 1,800 for providing a consular letter, taking a statutory declaration, affidavit, or witnessing signature
- THB 2,700 for verifying an authentication signature on a NZ document (this requires the document to have already been authenticated by NZ authorities)
[Note: fees rendered for this service are payable by bank transfer only. There is no credit or debit card facilities available.]
Assistance for New Zealanders overseas

Consular staff at Embassies can:
- give advice, with the aim of helping you to help yourself
- help with a lost of stolen passport(external link)
- help you contact relatives or friends to request emergency funds(external link)
- provide a list of English-speaking lawyers, and help you contact family and friends, if you are detained or arrested(external link)
- help you contact family and friends if you are ill or injured
- help with arrangements following a death overseas(external link)
- in certain circumstances, provide notarial services such as witnessing affidavits, statutory declarations and other documents for use under New Zealand law
- help during crises, such as civil unrest and natural disasters
