Minister of Foreign Affairs Nanaia Mahuta spoke with Australia’s Foreign Minister Marise Payne yesterday (2 August) to share bilateral and regional priorities ahead of a suite of regional and other meetings later in the week.
Australia is New Zealand’s closest partner across the breadth of our international engagement and both Minister Mahuta and Minister Payne recognised the value in checking-in prior to significant multilateral meetings.
Minister Mahuta congratulated Minister Payne on Brisbane’s successful bid to host the 2032 Olympic Games, as well as Australia’s success to date at the Olympics.
