The discussion reflected on the strong bilateral cooperation and assistance throughout the pandemic and Minister Mahuta reaffirmed Aotearoa New Zealand’s continued support to Niue as it re-opens its borders. They discussed how they can work together on Niue’s development priorities, including addressing climate change and building long-term economic resilience. The Minister and the Premier also discussed a range of regional issues and their shared commitment to work together through regional institutions to support a peaceful, stable, prosperous and resilient Pacific.
