New research looks at New Zealanders’ knowledge and support for overseas aid and development.

Last year, the Ministry commissioned research by The Neilson Company to find out what New Zealanders know and think about New Zealand’s overseas aid and development work.

The Neilson Company held focus groups with a range of sub-groups (rural, urban, youth, Pacific, Maori), and 1,205 New Zealanders completed an online survey. The last time we conducted this kind of research was in 2007.

The Ministry will use the research to help build understanding about New Zealand’s overseas aid and development work.
