Minjoo Party Representative Kim Byoung Gwan, New Zealand Prime Minister’s Fellow for 2017, visited New Zealand from 17-22 February 2017. The Prime Minister’s Fellowship provides an opportunity for rising political leaders to visit New Zealand to learn about the bilateral relationship with Korea and also to share their expertise with New Zealand political and business leaders. Before joining the National Assembly, Representative Kim was the CEO and Chairman of Webzen gaming.

Representative Kim’s programme focused on science, technology and gaming cooperation between New Zealand and Korea. During the visit, Representative Kim met Foreign Minister Murray McCully, Science Minister Paul Goldsmith, MP Melissa Lee and Wellington Mayor Justin Lester. Representative Kim was also able to experience 4D immersive technology being jointly developed between Victoria and Canterbury Universities in New Zealand and Ewha, Korea and Honggik Universities in Korea.
