New Zealanders considering travel to the Philippines should review our travel advisory(external link) with up-to-date information on security risks.

Notarial services

In certain circumstances, staff at this embassy are able to witness affidavits, affirmations, statutory declarations and other documents for use under New Zealand law. Call the consular staff for fee information and to make an appointment.

You can drive in the Philippines on your New Zealand driver’s licence for the first 90 days. After that you will need a Philippine driver’s licence. The Land Transportation Office(external link) (LTO) issues all drivers’ licences. Offices are located throughout the country. You will need to provide your foreign licence plus a photocopy with the application form. When you apply the LTO will give you a receipt that will serve as your temporary licence for 60 days while your permanent license is being issue.
