Notarial services

In certain circumstances, staff at this High Commission are able to witness affidavits, affirmations, statutory declarations and other documents for use under New Zealand law. The witnessing must take place at the New Zealand High Commission. Please call the High Commission Consular staff to enquire about this service, including applicable fees.

The fees for these and other legalisation services are:

Certifying documents as true copies of the original (e.g. birth or marriage certificates): ZAR310.00

Issuing consular letters, issuing consular certificates, taking affidavits, affirmations or statutory declarations (document prepared by solicitor or applicant): ZAR620.00

Witnessing signatures on documents for use under NZ law (e.g. wills, power of attorney, land transfer deeds): ZAR620.00
