Working holiday scheme

The New Zealand-Hong Kong Working Holiday Scheme opens the way for young people from New Zealand and Hong Kong to learn about each other’s cultures during holiday travels where they can undertake limited employment and study. Under the scheme, each year 400 young people, aged between 18 and 30, from each side will be granted a working holiday visa on a first-come-first-serve basis, which enables them to visit and stay for up to 12 months, and to take up short-term employment with any one employer or engage in any course of study for up to three months.

Applications for New Zealand Working Holiday visas may be obtained from Immigration New Zealand(external link).

If you have any enquiries about Hong Kong Working Holiday Scheme visas, please consult the online information provided by the Hong Kong Immigration Department(external link).
