Residing in a GCC Country and require a GCC Country Police Clearance.
The New Zealand Embassy in Riyadh can assist you by issuing a letter (fee applies) to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your country, requesting a Police Clearance.
To organise this letter you need to contact the New Zealand Embassy in Riyadh and send them a copy of the biodata page from your current passport and a copy of your ID (Iqama). The Embassy will then issue a consular letter addressed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your country asking them to provide you with the required clearance. The letter will be sent to you via courier (at your cost).
On receiving the Embassy's letter you will need to go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your country so that they can stamp it (verifying our signature and seal). Having done that you can then approach the police for your Police Clearance Certificate.
Please note: A GCC Police Clearance is required for students applying for a student visa, for a stay in New Zealand of 24 months or more.
Residing outside Saudi Arabia and require a Saudi Arabia Police Clearance.
The New Zealand Embassy in Riyadh recommends that you request this clearance prior to your departure from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is extremely difficult, and we are unable to guarantee that you will be able to obtain a Police Clearance once you have permanently left Saudi Arabia.
If you no longer reside in Saudi Arabia and require a Police Clearance, the Embassy in Riyadh suggests that you complete a Statutory Declaration in place of the Police Certificate.
