Terendak Military Cemetery
Terendak Military Cemetery is situated within the perimeter of Terendak Camp, Malacca.
The camp was built between 1957 – 1959 and is located on the West coast approximately thirteen miles north of Malacca on the Malacca-Masjid Tanah Road.
The first units of the 28th Commonwealth Infantry Brigade moved into Terendak Camp in late 1959. These New Zealand servicemen – who were actively engaged in Borneo during the period of confrontation with Indonesia from 1963 until 1966 – as well as those who fought in the Vietnamese War are among those buried here.
The cemetery is open daily from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
As Terendak Camp is a military base, specific procedures will apply if you wish to visit the cemetery.
