Purpose
The New Zealand High Commission Fund supports small scale, short-term community projects that contribute to wider community well-being. The projects must be in line with New Zealand Aid Programme’s mission of:
"Sustainable development in developing countries, in order to reduce poverty and contribute to a more secure, equitable and prosperous world."
Applications for the Fund are not currently open.
Eligible groups
The Fund is aimed primarily at community groups and Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) but other types of organisations such as schools, business associations may apply. Check with the New Zealand High Commission if unsure of your group’s eligibility. The Fund does not support individual businesses.
Priority
For this application cycle, priority will be given to proposals focused on addressing COVID-19-related challenges.
Project Duration
Individual projects are expected to be completed within one year of project approval.
Budget
The maximum funding for a single project is PGK 50,000.00.
Project Timeline
An implementation plan highlighting key tasks and completion dates should be clearly outlined in the project application.
Project Budget
A budget summary indicating costs involved in implementing the project should be clearly captured in the project application.

The High Commission Fund Application Form can be downloaded below. Applications will be assessed after the deadline of 13 September 2021. Please read the application guidelines carefully before submitting your application. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered. All applicants will be notified through email of the outcome of their application.
