Our relationship with Bulgaria
New Zealand's bilateral relationship with Bulgaria has grown markedly since Bulgaria joined the European Union in 2007. Our official government engagement is conducted mainly through multilateral fora, notably the WTO, the UN and the Antarctic Treaty (Bulgaria became a Consultative Party in 1998).
