On 1 February 2024, the third anniversary of the 1 February 2021 military coup in Myanmar, in light of the lack of progress towards an end to the crisis in Myanmar, New Zealand is imposing further travel bans on members of the military-appointed Myanmar State Administrative Council, who have responsibility for the ongoing atrocities and human rights violations.
