Introduction of the European Union Free Trade Agreement Legislation Amendment Bill

The European Union Free Trade Agreement Legislation Amendment Bill has been introduced to Parliament. This Bill will enable New Zealand to implement its obligations under the FTA and is necessary to bring the FTA into force.

The Bill will now progress through the Parliamentary process, including going through Select Committee, with the aim to complete New Zealand ratification processes for entry into force by the middle of 2024.
